Accountant

We are looking for several Accountants and Bookkeepers to join our team on a part-time basis. The workload is on a flexible schedule and can be performed outside of regular business hours if the applicant currently exercises other part-time or even a full-time activity.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
• Develop and analyze budgets
• Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
• Establish processes to improve financial stability, or increase their profit generation and cash flows
• Prepare tax returns

Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelors degree in accounting or related field. Masters Degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting in a corporate setting or at an accounting/bookkeeping firm
• Open to jobs on a part-time basis and not necessarily on a regular schedule
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools
• Detail and deadline-oriented
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

NOTE: the applicant must reside in the Fort Lauderdale area (preferably West Broward) to be considered for this job.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $50.00 to $100.00 /hour
