Account Manager, Digital Marketing

The account services team at Noble Studios acts as the clients’ representative at the agency, and the agency’s representative to clients. As the primary client contact, account services is responsible for attaining new revenue, as well as retaining and growing existing client relationships. Account managers also work closely with project managers and internal departments (Strategic Planning, Creative, Technical and Strategic Services and Accounting) to produce accurate scopes of work, facilitate the efforts of our talented internal team, and ensure projects meet or exceed client expectations and are delivered within deadlines and budget.

Successful account managers maintain a deep understanding of their clients’ business problems, opportunities and goals, enabling the Noble Studios team to deliver measurable impact that matters. Account managers are on point to proactively identify opportunities for Noble Studios to help clients meet their business goals through digital solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple clients, day-to-day, and develop annual client account/sales plans (and update as appropriate) to identify revenue growth opportunities and strategies for Noble;
  • Identify net new leads and qualify for a win/win fit;
  • Lead, manage and develop new business by generating persuasive, inspiring and memorable proposals / presentations that are either proactive pitches or in response to clients’ needs and requests; identify opportunities to introduce Noble Studios to new client divisions;
  • Maintain client relationships and deliver information, reports and briefings to clients to ensure clients see Noble’s essential value;
  • Identify opportunities to recommend new or additional product offerings to existing clients and find new buyers within different client divisions / departments receptive to Noble’s services;
  • Define the objectives for client projects. Set and manage client expectations;
  • Identify when to bring in Strategic Planning (through regular communication and appropriate inclusion in meetings, etc.) and coordinate closely with the SP division to scope and implement research and planning;
  • Accurately, and in a timely manner, scope, estimate, schedule, and coordinate efforts for projects and, in some cases, do the actual implementation;
  • Effectively communicate project expectations and milestones to team members and customers in a timely and clear fashion; Manage project budgets along with the project management team; oversee quality control for projects from start to finish;
  • Create thoughtful and detailed scopes of work for new client projects, proposals or RFPs
  • Work with project managers to analyze final projects’ profitability, revenue, margins, billing rates and staff utilization;
  • Stay current on latest uses of technology and design elements in mobile and web marketing platforms, creative techniques and development techniques to encourage the use of the latest methods when appropriate.

Account services team members are expected to:

  • Achieve or exceed an individual sales goal;
  • Identify opportunities and solutions that will show value and Return on Investment (ROI) to a client;
  • Set expectations, be clear and concise in communication to ensure understanding and agreement;
  • Negotiate difficult political environments and communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully;
  • Be assertive forward-thinking problem solvers who enjoy motivating a team to deliver great work;
  • Possess the ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other team members and varying personality types;
  • Be familiar with the concepts behind our technology offerings, including HTML, CSS, Databases, PHP, API, analytics, SEO / SEM;
  • Have a solid working knowledge of current digital technologies. Learn, understand, and know how and when to apply new/emerging technologies;
  • Be technically competent with relevant software programs, including Microsoft Office Suite, Jira, Salesforce, etc.;
  • Be willing to travel on occasion to client meetings and new business initiatives.

Account managers report to the account services lead, and work closely together as needed to manage and grow new and existing accounts, develop actionable account/sales plans, capitalize on new business initiatives, up- or cross-sell opportunities, and strengthen client relationships.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3+ solid years of experience in project/account management within the marketing/technology /web industry including all aspects of process development and execution;
  • Demonstrated success with client relationship management or customer service;
  • A four-year college degree or equivalent education and experience;
  • Strong verbal and written communication to inspire confidence and clarity of direction;
  • Problem solving, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills to facilitate outcomes;
  • Comfort with selling new business and nurturing accounts;
  • Ability to navigate solutions while following defined account management processes and documentation standards;
  • Ability to travel up to 25% as required;
  • Ability to gain consensus and build enthusiasm for Noble’s / your ideas and solutions.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Certifications in, or hands-on experience with: Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Optimizely, and BrightEdge;
  • Digital Marketing experience and/or education;
  • Proven success selling digital marketing solutions;
  • Knowledge of strategic selling concepts and consultative sales;
  • Familiarity with the Northern Nevada and Bay Area markets related to our target verticals (hospitality and tourism, B2B, healthcare, higher education, etc.).
