A/P Analyst

Wood is currently recruiting for an A/P Analyst for our Tucker, GA office.
Key Responsibilities
Processing AP invoices – Process invoices for payment including the following steps:
  • Monitor AP mailbox daily for new invoices and route to AP mail slots for processing
  • Process all voids and reissuance of checks within 48 hours
  • Review invoices to ensure completeness – appropriate backup information provided, proper approval, correct accounting coding, etc.
  • Review and apply the appropriate sales and use tax to the invoice
  • Enter information into AP accounting system to register the proper accounting and trigger the payment process in the system
  • Setup new vendors in the system
  • Match invoices and payment requests for review and payment approval
  • Maintain orderly files and records
  • Process intercompany invoices as they are received and monitor the aging of the intercompany invoices to ensure timely payment is made

Ad hoc matters
  • Provide resolution to AP queries raised by field personnel and vendors
  • Additional assistance as required to perform other routine accounting matters
  • Assist in pulling supporting documentation required for routine audits

Skills / Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in accounting
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting would be a plus
  • Highly skilled in dealing with financial data and Excel spreadsheets
  • Highly skilled in using accounting systems
  • Excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work
