756 FLIGHT TRAINING INSTRUCTOR (Atlanta, GA Based)

This Instructor position will conduct pilot training and evaluation for pilots of Delta Air Lines as well as pilots from other carriers that Delta has contracted to provide training services. Training modules include line oriented flight training, selected event training, special purpose operational training, basic systems and systems integration training. Evaluation modules include systems validations, procedure and automation validations, maneuver validations and line oriented evaluations. Training and evaluations will take place in varied environments and media including full flight simulators, flight training devices, and classrooms.

Selected Instructors will provide instruction and certification of completed modules found within the approved Delta Qualification and Continuing Qualification curricula. This position will assist with the ongoing development and preparation of module outlines, study materials, instructional techniques, and other ancillary work as directed by Fleet Management where appropriate. These instructors will provide briefings on various subjects relating to the operation of Delta (or other airline) aircraft in accordance with approved policies and procedures.

Individuals will be required to master a high degree of knowledge on the operation of various aircraft systems and instruments, as well as the procedures for the safe operation of aircraft during normal and non-normal maneuvers. These Instructors will observe pilots actions and reactions during the training events to ensure integration of classroom and pre-briefing instruction to provide a thorough de-brief to the students on their development at the completion of each of the modules. Finally, this individual will be tasked with the evaluation of each pilot’s progress, including oral interviews, using approved qualification standards and grading criteria.

This is a Full Time Permanent Flight Training Instructor position with Delta Air Lines.

Required Qualifications:
At least 2,000 hours of experience as an airman (for NSLIs hired after June 21, 2001, at least 2,000 hours of experience as an airman in Part 121 operations or equivalent commercial air carrier experience).

An Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (and the ability to obtain un-restricted type ratings)

The applicant needs to be familiar with technology required for the job including, but not limited to:

Establishing internet or cell data connections to access company information and schedules

Use of email and email folders dedicated to their duties as instructors/evaluators

Use of Word and Excel Desired

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year college or university OR equivalent experience.
