#505 Business Systems Developer

Support business objectives through hands-on development and maintenance of business applications at Janicki Industries.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Design, develop, test, implement and support Janicki-developed SAP ABAP programs
• Design, develop, test, implement and support applications and integration using the Microsoft SQL Server platform. This will include reports, vendor exports, data warehousing tasks and other data related tasks.
• Investigate and resolve SAP system and software problems. Provide off-hour support as needed.
• Develop software and system support documentation and procedures according to JI standards.
• Conduct technical research with recommendations for action into IT related topics: upgrades, systems, methodologies, software, etc.
• Independent task handling and providing optimum technical solutions to Functional team.

QUALIFICATIONS

MUST BE U.S. PERSON STATUS (U.S. CITIZEN OR LEGAL PERMANENT RESIDENT) FOR THIS POSITION. PROOF OF U.S. CITIZENSHIP OR PERMANENT RESIDENCY REQUIRED DUE TO ACCESS TO SENSITIVE DATA AND OUR COVERAGE UNDER EAR AND ITAR REGULATIONS.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• 5-years of experience in ABAP coding
• ABAP Workbench navigation
• List Processing and ALV report programming
• Experience with Adobe forms required; Smart forms and SAPScript forms are secondary
• User Exits, enhancements / modification programming
• RFC, Workflow, Web Services
• ABAP Object Orientation would be a plus
• LSMW workbench, BDC programming
• BAPI, BADI, Enhancement framework
• Basic understanding of business processes applicable to various modules in SAP – SD, MM, PS, FI, CO, PP, HCM and WM is necessary.
• Experience integrating SAP with third party SQL Server based systems and applications.
• Object management using SPDD and SPAU during hot pack and release upgrades.
• Good problem solving and analytical skills.
• Demonstrates initiative and team work.
• Experience in execution of project life cycle methodology.
• Proper planning and prioritization is a must in this role.
• Strong communication skills for working with functional teams and writing technical specifications
• Post-secondary education in Business or Information Technology (or equivalent) with 8+ years industry experience.
