3rd-5th Grade Teacher (all-inclusive)

Position Available: 3rd-5th Grade Teacher (self-contained classroom teaching all subjects)

Location: Savannah Honor Academy in Savannah, GA

Salary: $40,000 to $58,000 depending on enrollment

– No benefits are provided

Class size: Maximum of 12 students

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s Degree required (any field), Masters preferred.

– Teaching Certification required

– Knowledge/Experience in Montessori, Balanced Literacy, Teachers’

College, Reggio Emilia, or other small-group and

Hands-on approaches preferred

– Knowledge/Experience in inquiry and differentiation

– Excellent verbal and written skills

– Proficiency in a foreign language (all languages considered)

– Computer Literacy

Responsibilities:

– Teaching level-appropriate lessons within a multi-age classroom (6th-8th

grade).

– Teaching all subjects, including art, music, and a language

(foundational skills only)

– Covering a portion of aftercare shifts

An innovative private school is looking for a dynamic upper elementary teacher for the fall of 2017. The successful candidate will have a college degree, a passion for teaching, and at least 3 years teaching experience. We are a small school with only three multi-age classrooms (K-2nd, 3rd-5th, & 6th-8th). Each classroom has a maximum of twelve students. There is no administrative staff, so the teachers have more freedom but also more responsibility.

We are seeking a highly-motivated educator with a passion for teaching who will go above and beyond for our kids. We do not rely on textbooks or worksheets, so we need someone who is creative and able to design lessons that will be interactive, engaging, and hands-on.
