3M HIS Clinical Terminology Developer Internship (Taylorsville, UT)

3M is seeking a Clinical Terminology Developer for the Health Information Systems Division located in Taylorsville, Utah.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Improving search engine algorithms
Modeling semantic types in clinical terminology through ontology reasoning
Enhancing Natural Language Processing (NLP) leveraging the 3M Healthcare Data Dictionary (HDD), a terminology server containing standard and local medical terminologies
Developing HL7 FHIR capability for the HDD
Developing tools and applications for clinical users of the HDD
Basic Qualifications:
Possesses or is in the last year of pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university
Completion of a 3M Internship/Coop assignment
Preferred Qualifications: (list out Preferred Qualifications)
Master’s degree or higher in computer science, information systems, computational lingustics or biomedical informatics from an accredited university
Experience in advanced algorithms, Python, Java, data mining, machine learning, data modeling, data visualization, SQL, Oracle, HTML, JavaScript, web designing
Skills include good oral and written communication, team work, initiative, detail oriented, self and time management
Location: Taylorsville, Utah
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic
Relocation: Is not authorized
