Purpose of the Position:
Under general supervision this position monitors various aspects of employee performance and well-being, investigates and coordinates disciplinary actions as well as claims of discrimination or harassment.

Essential Functions: (List all basic responsibilities related to the purpose of the position)

Facilitates communication between employees, management, benefits coordinators, and attorneys. As a liaison, the specialist may also be consulted for clarification of company policies, safety and health programs, and disciplinary actions.

Leads and performs investigations into Team Member’s complaints and/or allegations of misconduct. After reviewing the organization’s policies and any applicable laws, determine the appropriate course of action. Prepare detailed summary reports and make recommendations to management.

Maintain the Corrective Performance Review database and files for administrative Team Members.

Maintain the Concerns Resolution database and files for administrative Team Members.

Work collaboratively and effectively to solve problems where decisions are aligned with business priorities.

Coordinate annual Team Member survey and report findings to the administrative Team Members. Establish improvement opportunities linked to survey results and improving Team Member satisfaction and engagement.

Supports and/or delivers training to administrative Team Members as required.

Support the administrative Team Member promotion process as required.

Acts as HR Business Partner to assigned HR Operational or Team Member Services areas as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related areas or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience supporting the employee relations function.

Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:
Demonstrate advanced multi-disciplinary knowledge of Human Resources principles and best practices.

Demonstrates a deep comprehensive knowledge and functions as a key resource for interpretation and compliance with the law, regulations and policies.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels within the organization (incl. fluency in English)

Strong problem solving skills

Ability to focus on customer needs and achieve results effectively in a team environment

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and apply time management independently

Confidentiality and reliability – ability to handle sensitive and confidential documents and information

Computer skills including application of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Demonstrates patience and understanding, with the ability to remain calm and diffuse tense or angry situations.

Preferred Skills: Knowledge of Records Management Program and IMS compliance. Highly motivated self-starter, Team oriented, outstanding planning and proactive skills.
