13 / 2017 Leisure Travel Specialist I, II, III

Plans vacation travel and some corporate travel, and arranges air, car, and hotel reservations and other travel services for customers of travel agency. Job Duties include but not limited to:

Solicit new clients from their personal and professional contacts.

Converses with customer to determine destination, mode of transportation, travel dates, financial considerations, and accommodations required.

Provides customer with brochures and publications containing travel information such as local customs, points of interest, and special events occurring in various locations.

Provides customer with information on foreign country regulations such as consular requirements and currency limitations.

Plans, describes, arranges, and sells itinerary tour packages and promotional travel incentives offered by various travel carriers.

Computes cost of travel and accommodations or quotes package tours’ costs.

Arrange all travel related services. Including, but not limited to, booking, such as cruise, tour, air, rail, car, hotel, seat assignments, and any other accommodations requested by the client.

Prints or requests transportation carrier tickets with computer printer system or system link to travel carrier. May require issuance of e-documents from vendors.

Collects payment for transportation and accommodations from customer.

Assisting customers with various needs, such as travel changes and boarding passes, including any necessary problem solving.

Creation, and maintenance of client profiles to properly service each traveler. Utilization of ClientBase+ and Virtuoso-Composer and Commission Tracking Tools for proper management of client files with respect to marketing. May be required to utilize TRAMS Back Office.

Actively participates in Virtuoso and supplier education and internal training modules.

Requires High School Diploma or equivalent. Post-Secondary Education in Travel and Tourism / Hospitality preferred This is an entry level position in the travel industry and the employee performance must exceed the requirements of the position. Apollo experienced preferred however will train right candidate with Sales and travel experience! CTC or CTA is helpful.

Location – Omaha, NE Schedule is between 8:00a.m. to 8:00p.m. CST – Weekend hours to be determined.
