Web Developer I

Overview:
Under the direction of a Lead Developer, the Web Developer I will develop, test and maintain company applications while adhering to company coding standards, security requirements and department policies and procedures .

Responsibilities:

• Implement multi-tiered web applications
• Implement API’s for integrations with both internal and external applications
• Write, test and maintain programming code that is used in the operation of the company
• Update story cards with estimates, status and implementation details
• Have an impact on the mission-critical products and services that clients rely on every day
• Participate in any phase of the development lifecycle, from initial design through implementation with coaching
• Work in teams with other developers, designers, project managers and testers to deliver quality software on-time with the functionality requested
• Participate on code reviews for other developers and embrace feedback from others

Qualifications:

• Competence building enterprise class applications using formal programming techniques
• Knowledge of unit tests
• Familiar with object-oriented development and design patterns
• Ability to work effectively through collaboration across disciplines, teams, and partners
• Is able to communicate and work well with others
• Ability to contribute in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail, passion for quality
• Familiar with MS SQL database scripting
• Familiar with web services

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) from four-year College or University in Computer Science or related field; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
