Web Designer & Developer

Creativity, curiosity and an eagerness to learn are three skills essential to thrive in this position! Our CTO is looking for a person who follows the latest design trends and new capabilities. A master of spacing and typography and understands the importance of design simplicity. You will need to be knowledgeable about how human behavior influences interaction with a website.

Additionally, we are looking for someone who has the ability to work with different coding languages/frameworks, as well as being able to write organized, readable code and markup. You must be able to read through and understand API documentation and third party applications, be skilled in responsive design and cross-browser compatibility, and be able to research/troubleshoot errors and workflow obstacles.

Job Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience and exceptional motivation to learn on the job
• 1+ years of experience with WordPress or another CMS
• Good understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Ability to write and speak clearly to a non-technical audience
• Must possess a user-first mentality
• Must have experience with G-Suite, Google Analytics and Search Console
• Experience with email and website hosting accounts
• Fundamental skills include experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Extensive familiarity with MS Excel functions

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead on web design projects
• Make changes and improvements to client websites
• Manage the data side of digital marketing efforts
• Assist in deployment/creation of new applications/websites
• Address incoming requests from clients
• Perform testing and QA on client websites
• Optimize website markup to perform better in Google searches
