Job Summary

To daily manage, track, and improve quality performance in installations of sound mat, gypsum underlayment, waterproofing, and balcony concrete systems in the wood-framed multi-family construction industry for six operating locations spanning across four states.

Job Details

A successful Training and Quality Assurance Director will be experienced and be familiar with the culture and realities within the construction industry. The Training and Quality Assurance Director’s primary objectives are:

· Train foremen and superintendents to be excellent in their roles,

· Facilitate a culture of mentorship within the company,

· Continuously improve quality control,

· Ensure all crews have 100% training for installation best practices,

· Ensure all foremen and superintendents have 100% training and excellence in the company’s mobile and custom daily sheet software

· Organize, maintain, and implement an internal wiki with the company’s trainings and best practices.

The successful Training and Quality Assurance Director will fulfill the following roles within the company:

· Manage company’s internal training database ,

· Identify, track, and facilitate trainings for employees within the company,

· Track each employee’s mentor and mentee,

· Create, implement, document, and manage the company’s quality assurance program,

· Inspect job sites for quality assurance, and

· Serve as a liaison between Cemplex Group operations and the technology team and material supply company.

The Training and Quality Assurance Director must be willing and able to travel extensively at a minimum of 2 weeks out of every month to other locations to assist and improve performance of the quality assurance program, with the company paying for travel expenses. The company’s operating locations are in TX, GA, OH, and FL.

Essential Functions

In order to perform this role, the Training and Quality Assurance Director must be to:

Climb, crawl, and walk while carrying or operating machinery and tools up stairs, down stairs, and over potentially uneven surfaces.

Lift, pull, push, and carry 80 lbs. of weight intermittently.

Ability to identify safety hazards and communicate effectively with others.

Sustain the stamina to perform manual labor outdoors, exposed to the elements, vibrations, loud noises, offensive smells, dust, dirt, and water in all seasons, including extreme temperatures.

Safely perform work with appropriate safety gear.

Distinguish between different colors.

Bend, squat, twist, and reach in various positions as the situation dictates.

Skills and Qualifications

Eligibility to work in the United States (E-Verify)

Driver’s license and favorable DMV record

Able to organize a myriad of videos and information into navigable platform

Interpersonal skills to gain respect and trust of field employees and foremen

Basic Excel skills to compile data, analyze trends, and present findings

Advanced in reading construction specifications as well as real-world realities of on-site conditions

Pay Range: Base salary is commensurate with experience. Employee is also eligibility in the company’s annual bonus plan based on performance.
