Sr. Software Project Manager

Be part of a team assessing and driving achievement of program specific performance within Honeywell UOP Engineering. You will be the technical leader and be the primary decision maker for program scope definition, resolving issues, controlling cost, meeting schedule and delivery in production.

The Senior Project Manager will interface with the many aspects of the business to help build and drive adoption strategies for new solutions for both hardware and software functions standpoints throughout UOP engineering. Strategies will include deploying new solutions, leading pilots, conducting users’ training, mentoring software developers, transitioning solutions to production. Building solutions that are compatible with the documented UOP design manuals and propose changes where necessary. In this environment, the right candidate to propose IT solutions and deliver on Digital Transformation Center goals by keeping, in perspective, the current design process and the new multiyear vision.

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Business Administration

Strong management operating system that facilitates communication

Work with functional leaders to prioritize resources and implement project objectives. Persuade to influence other to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches

Business acumen and working knowledge of current and emerging practices, methods, and information relating to discipline and application within the industry

Significant software development experience and leading teams. Some of experience developing object oriented applications and or web development using .NET technologies

Some of experience leading Agile projects including real world experience leading a project from start to finish

Masters in Computer Science or in Chemical Engineering

Able to serve as a liaison between both business and technical teams to drive effective, timely solutions that fulfill both strategic and operational needs

Experience mentoring and/or teaching others around work plan development and risk management

Some experience in Agile methodology: Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc. and Agile delivery/ALM tools (i.e. Jira, TFS, etc)

Experience working in an engineering organization, preferably in a Chemical engineering environment.
