Software Developer

This position requires a software practitioner with broad existing skills, the desire to learn new things, and the proven ability to solve problems in creative ways. The breadth of activities include machine level interfaces (e.g. device driver for Unix/Linux/Windows or instrumentation control), application development and testing (C, C++, and dynamic scripting languages), database design and development, and web or mobile device applications.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment in avionics or similar high-tech industries.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or similar discipline
• Must be a US citizen or permanent resident due to government contracts

WE VALUE

• Software engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency (able to analyze, design, develop, debug, maintain and improve) with software applications using dynamic scripting (Perl, Python, PHP) and higher level languages (C, C++, C#).
• Experience with LabView, LabWindows, or TestStand
• Strong use of software development disciplines, requirements development, planning, coding testing, test driven development, software code review
• Experience with software lifecycles including waterfall and agile.
• Ability to utilize tools and techniques to diagnose problems (e.g. network packet analysis, debuggers, source code analyzers, etc.).
• Excellent computer skills including MS office suite
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
