Let’s make an impact together Perspecta has an immediate need for a Senior Mainframe Programmer in San Diego, CA. This position will provide production support, perform maintenance, and develop required software enhancements for the County of San Diego (CoSD) Finance & General Government Group (FG3) IBM z/OS mainframe environment. Responsibilities include: a. Analyze application software requirements and issues b. Document application software changes and submit them through proper change control review and approval c. Perform mainframe environment operational support and problem remediation activities d. Develop, modify and test application software to correct issues and provide requested functionality e. Coordinate activities between the CoSD Mainframe support team and other parts of the Perspecta IT Services team (e.g. Infrastructure, Security, Change Control) f. Ensure team adherence to all software management procedures and policies Education and Experience Required:

1. Education:
a. Bachelor’s degree in information systems or computer science, or

b. Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with strong coursework in information systems or computer science

2. Overall Experience:
a. 15 or more years of experience in mainframe software development and support

3. Technical Knowledge and Experience:
a. Application Technologies

i. Mainframe Technologies, including but not limited to:
1. TSO/ISPF

2. JCL

3. Cobol

4. Adabas

5. Natural

6. Endeavor

7. CICS

ii. Database Technologies

iii. AS400 experience preferred

b. Infrastructure Technologies

i. Mainframe Infrastructure

ii. Mainframe Storage

iii. Mainframe Networks

iv. Mainframe Security

v. Mainframe z/OS Operating Systems

c. Microsoft Office applications
