  • The Role:
    Sensus, a Xylem Brand, seeks to hire a Sr. Dev Ops Engineer. We’re looking for someone with a passion for being a part of a team dedicated to improving automation, monitoring and continuous delivery in a cloud-based environment. You should enjoy working with bleeding-edge technology and not be afraid to take a different approach to solving technical problems. You should also be able to change directions quickly as the business environment moves.


    Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

    Experience with the following:

  • AWS (Amazon Web Service) or a similar cloud provider
  • Kubernetes (Helm experience a plus)
  • Ansible or a similar configuration management tool
  • Terraform or a similar infrastructure provisioning tool
  • CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Gitlab, or Bitbucket Pipelines
  • Python or a similar programming language
  • Git

  • Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • 4+ years AWS (Amazon Web Service) or a similar cloud provider
  • 2+ years’ Kubernetes (Helm experience a plus)
  • 4+ years’ experience with Ansible or a similar configuration management tool
  • 4+ years’ experience with Terraform or a similar provisioning tool
  • 4+ years’ experience with build/deployment tools and related artifacts for continuous delivery (Jenkins, Jira, Git)
  • 4+ years’ experience with Python or a similar programming language
  • 4+ years’ experience with Git
  • Experience being part of a DevOps team that interacts with and enables multiple teams
  • Experience supporting Kubernetes workloads in a production environment
  • Experience supporting production workloads in a Linux environment
  • Experience with monitoring tools Datadog, Nagios, or a similar tool
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
