Public Relations Specialist

Harkinsis searching for a dynamic Public Relations Specialistto join our Marketing Team at the Theatre Support Office based in beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona. The ideal candidate will be proactive by developing compelling communications to the media, being a strong torch-carrier for the Harkins brand, and coordinating strategic initiatives for Harkins with the media and the community.

What will you do:

• Pitch stories to various media, including print, broadcast, digital and non-traditional outlets
• Writes and distributes press releases
• Coordinates all media requests including fielding media calls, routing requests for internal approval, coordinating schedules with theatres, and issuing reports on media events
• Leader for all charity initiatives and main point of contacts for multiple charity partnerships
• Participates in planning and working marketing project events such as lineup parties, grand openings, awards dinner, etc.

What you need:

• Bachelor’s degree in media and marketing, public relations or related field, with 4 years’ experience in public relations
• Strong knowledge of public relations and industry trends
• Excellent written, editing, and verbal skills
• Must be organized and detail oriented
• Movie theatre experience, a plus
