Part-time Bookkeeper_HR/Payroll

This individual will:

· Maintain strict confidentiality, exercising discretion on matters of significance – especially related to Financial and HR issues

· Assist executive staff with routine bookkeeping and personnel support services.

· Promote the company vision with a self-starter attitude and initiative.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

· Expert in QuickBooks to track all expense activity with proper cost accounting and project expenses to meet GAAP (DCAA/FAR Government Compliance accounting knowledge a plus)

· Reconcile all accounts monthly and produce financial statements and other reports

· Issue and Pay supplier invoices

· Monitor receivables for prompt collection

· Maintain an orderly accounting filing system, chart of accounts and annual budget variances

· Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting and registration filings

· Assist company state and local reporting and records maintenance

· Ensure company administrative details are accomplished in close coordination with CEO and sales team

· Seek efficiencies by leveraging the technologies and reporting tool of the company

· Report and escalate to management any critical issues for success

· Proficient in Smartsheets to monitor project management milestones

· Successfully manage the relationship between prospects, clients, or coworkers

  • Manage and reconcile credit card transactions.
  • Perform accounts receivable client follow-up.
  • Make bank deposits and reconcile bank accounts.
  • Track cash balance and alert treasurer with regular cash flow reports.
  • Run monthly financial reports to owners.
  • Create and maintain customer records including contact, and payment information.
  • Onboard new hires using Paylocity HR System.
  • Interface between health benefits company and employees.
  • Create and maintain employees including contact information, payroll salary or rate information, and related employment data, such as W-4s and other new hire.
  • Provide audit reports to workers compensation and benefits company.
  • Manage business insurance process and issue certificates as requested.
  • Order office Supplies.
  • Prepare 1099’s for applicable vendors.
  • Work with CPA as required to provide financial data for tax return preparation

Qualifications:

· Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products

· College degree in related field or equivalent work experience

· May be called upon to work varied hours including weekends, and holidays

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Background with aviation fields a definite bonus

· Second language fluency a bonus

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $18.00 to $23.00 /hour
