Marketing MI Analyst

Job Functions Analytics,Marketing Industries Insurance Specification
Tactically and strategically position the Marketing channel and effectively measure, analyse and report across all advertising channels to effectively enhance future business growth and sustain market share and ROI.

Commercial Management, Data Collection & Analysis
Use data from a wide range of sources to analyze key themes and identify possible impacts on the business. Ensure relevant marketing research and analysis is completed to assist with business decisions. Conduct business analysis across group product offerings to achieve optimal spend and group value chain. On-going analysis of all channels within Advertising and contribute to problem solving with various stake holders to achieve optimal spend to lead and sales conversion. Assisting in the research, identifying and analysing all marketing opportunities to ensure that maximum productivity is achieved and aligned to the Company strategy. Interpret commercial results and provide insights and recommendations on commercial trends. Help managers make effective decisions based on the data, and ensure they are clear on the implications.

Insights and Reporting
Prepare, coordinate and contribute to execution of complex reports, identifying and interpreting complex patterns and trends, and translating those insights into actionable recommendations to internal and external stakeholders. Group Marketing & Performance reporting – Daily, Monthly analysis, reporting and delivery of accurate and true EXCO board pack/s. Compile and formulate a variety of consolidated marketing intelligence reports for middle and senior management. Provide support to various internal stakeholders through the identification of insights and trends contained within the respective management information reports.

Information and Business Advice
Provide specialist guidance to senior managers at the business unit or regional level to enable the implementation of policy and projects. Advise and liaise with key stakeholders (channel and marketing managers) on campaign information, strategy, trend analysis and best practice aligned to
achieve company strategy.

Stakeholder Engagement
Develop stakeholder engagement through identifying stakeholders, finding out their needs/issues/concerns and reacting to these to support the communication of business information and decisions. Manage relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent, accurate, aligned and valid financial and performance data is available. Act as the subject matter expert and manage all engagement and delivery in collaboration with the relevant department and stakeholders (Marketing team, sales team, senior finance teams).

Performance Management
Respond to personal objectives and use performance management systems to improve personal performance. OR Monitor the performance of the team; allocate work and review completion, take appropriate corrective action to ensure timeliness and quality; contribute to formal individual performance management and appraisal.

Improvement / Innovation through Business Intelligence
Identify shortcomings and suggest improvements to existing processes, systems and procedures, then delivers a plan for a small element of a business decisions dependent on data.

Personal Capability Building
Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching to
improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education.

Requirements
General Education
Grade 12/ SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential);
Relevant 3 year Business related degree / diploma (Essential)

General Experience
2 – 3 years experience within a analytical environment (Essential);

At least 3-5 years’ experience within a corporate environment (Essential)

Experience within a Marketing Environment (Essential);
Experience within the financial services industry (Advantageous)
