Management Analyst

Position Overview

About the Position
As the Management Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and documenting existing and new business processes in the Geospatial Information Systems and/or Special Districts Divisions. The incumbent will use modeling tools to document the current state of business practices and processes as well as the desired future state. Responsible for the knowledge transfer of business implications to management and key stakeholders. You will also be a liaison with managers and supervisors to determine training needs and schedule training sessions, this will also encompass designing effective training programs.

Position Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public, Business Administration or relevant field

  • Experience

  • Two (2) years of professional experience in business analysis

  • OR

  • An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/or related experience may substitute for the minimum requirements on a year-per-year basis.

  • Our Preferred Candidate has

  • Master’s degree in Public Administration, Business or relevant field
  • Five (5) years of business analysis experience
  • Certified in business analyst methodologies, or completion of coursework specific to business analysis concepts and methodologies
  • Essential Job Tasks

  • Analyzes requests and impact statements from different divisions within the organization or stake-holders
  • Prepares a written analysis, recommendations, presentations, and discussions with appropriate parties, including management
  • Ensures timely and accurate outcomes by researching aged files, tracking property history, reviewing leases, tax liens, and related information
  • Interprets statutes, analyzes ownership, valuations, mapping, treasurer’s data, and records
  • Contributes to building the Assessor’s Office capabilities to quickly and accurately assess and resolve problems or improve business processes
  • Updates, implements, and maintains policies and procedures
  • Monitors deliverables and ensures timely completion of projects and training protocols
  • Supports and mentors new employees and prepare educational material

  • Working Conditions

    Primarily office setting with limited fieldwork resulting in exposure to extreme heat, cold and dangerous flora and fauna.

Those selected will be assessed based on the evaluation of listed education and experience. The hiring authority will interview and select the successful candidate from a list provided by Human Resources.

    Typically, successful candidates are hired at a salary rate up to the midpoint of the range, based on relevant experience, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.
