Java Developer

As a Java developer at Dynamit, you will work with designers, solution delivery managers, QA specialists and even clients themselves to help deliver high quality applications that solve the business needs of the client. You will be expected to understand the problem being solved and be able to think critically about the solution to help deliver an excellent product. We are currently looking for Java Developers at with a minimum of 3-5 years experience building data driven Tomcat/JSP/MySQL web applications. Experience with HippoCMS is a huge bonus.

• Test your own work and peer’s work prior to handing off to QA

Qualifications and Experience

• 3+ years experience building data-driven web applications
• Fluent understanding of JAX-B, JAX-RS, and HTTP headers
• Understanding of REST, Microservices, and Amazon AWS a bonus
• Languages: Java EE, HTML(5), CSS(3), Javascript (JQuery preferred), AJAX, JSON, and XML
• Web platform: SOA, Spring DI, Spring MVC, Tomcat and design patterns.
• Database: understanding of RDBMS with experience using MYSQL and/or Oracle
• Version control (git / github / subversion)
• Formalized QA/testing and revision-based development
• Experience estimating development project timelines
• Ability to write clear, web-standard, well documented code
• Track record working within team environment inclusive of designers, peer developers and business/requirements team
• Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and high standards
• Experience implementing complex website and application interface designs
• Strong understanding of production systems and support
• Ability to think critically and solve complex technical problems
• Outstanding communication and listening skills – team and client
• Good time management skills

Travel Requirements

• This position requires little travel beyond training courses and occasional client meetings
