Federal-Civil PRACTICE
Michael Baker International’s Federal Civil Department provides innovative consulting, planning and engineering solutions for many Federal clients. We have proven experience in providing a full range of professional services from scientific and technical analysis, concept through design, and construction support services.

DESCRIPTION
Intern may be involved with any number of tasks. Some days will be in the office and others may be in the field. Various tasks would include:

Provide support for simple designs, completing As-Built review, providing CAD support, and completing a field investigation.

Working with C3D modeling including corridors, surface creation and feature lines.

Summarize findings of a study in a report and create supporting exhibits.

Complete field work by gathering project site information, inspecting a construction or industrial site.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidate must be enrolled and pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering at an accredited university or college.

Minimum of 3 years of completed post-secondary coursework in student’s field of study.

Minimum 2.5 overall GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Proficiency with AutoCAD, C3D and MS Office.

Experience with GIS.

Experience with interpreting Hydrology and/or Hydraulics Programs., and/or Structural drawings.
