Integrated Business planning has been chosen as the process for AkzoNobel to deploy its business strategy and ultimately deliver the expected results to its shareholders. The Business Process Owner -– Integrated Business Planning will have multi-regional responsibility for assessing current practices, fine tuning the process design, organize and deliver training, deploy the 5-steps IBP process in the Regions / Business Units under his / her responsibility. As the process maturity increases, the incumbent is expected to shift her/his attention to coach and continuously assess the units under his/her responsibility with the objective to continuously refine and improve the local processes on their path to Class A certification and, ultimately, to deliver the expected results.

Reporting into the Global Plan and Deliver Center of Excellence, (s)he will have the opportunity to interact with a set of cross functional teams of business leaders on their journey to world class performance through the application of IBP principles, tools, and methodologies.
This position requires a hands-on experienced individual with a good balance of technical, business, and leadership competencies. This position will also require a significant level of independent thought and an ability to challenge existing strategies, processes, and execution elements to ensure all functional areas adhere to the IBP Process. Finally, a strong knowledge of the IBP process and the ability to easily communicate all the way from C-level down are a pre-requisite for a successful candidate

Responsibilities:

– This position is responsible for implementing and monitoring – in the regions under his / her responsibility – a new sustainable IBP Strategy and IBP process, based on the Global standards defined by the ALPS team to include:

  • IBP/ S&OP monthly discipline

  • Integration and alignment of New Product Development, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Demand and Supply Planning calendars, processes, and tools.

  • Alignment and integration with corporate strategy and financial processes

  • Constantly assessing the IBP process maturity, to ensure effective execution, integration and performance of the new IBP process.

  • Delivering organizational-wide training sessions in close cooperation with the ALPS IBP COE and the local IBP Business Leaders.

  • Coaching local IBP Business leads where required

  • Benchmarking internal and external best practices to identify and implement continuous process improvement/effectiveness initiatives

  • Creating and developing a network of IBP practitioners in order to foster a Continuous Improvement of the business processes covered by IBP
