We are seeking a hands-on software engineer to design, develop and maintain all activities related to the subscription, billing and quote to cash application including integrations to third-party solutions as required to meet the business requirements of the organization. This individual will collaborate with business, IT and other stakeholders to create and test application modules. Proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of application development best practices are critical to successful performance in this role.

What you’ll own:

Develop and maintain ecommerce & subscription billing applications to support quote-to-cash processes for the organization.

Responsible for the integrations that connect the Pluralsight platform to Billing Engines, ecommerce System, CRM Application and other 3rd party systems

Responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust, high-performing direct and indirect ecommerce and subscription applications while also establishing standards and procedures to replicate successful processes for other immediate organizations.

Ensure that integration projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.

Ensure that integration planning and practices are aligned with strategic business goals and the company’s overall strategic vision.

Develop standards and processes to support and facilitate software development. .

Research and make recommendations on quote to cash application,, services and capabilities in support of application software deployed in the Pluralsight.

Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of newly integrated software programs and applications.

Lead testing phase of software and applications under development in order to identify and remedy potential problem areas.

Liaise with other software developers and engineers to address issues in program logic and the interoperability of new applications with existing systems software.

Build relationships with software development and engineering teams to gain an understanding of application architectures and required functionality.

Ensure the collection and coherent interpretation of the various business processes affected by integration efforts.

Work diligently to enhance or improve business processes via integration or, as necessary, minimize the impact of integration on those processes.

Evaluate results of integration projects, then report and make recommendations based on findings.

Where necessary, provide guidance to junior members of the team.

Experience you’ll need:

4+ years experience in enterprise-level quote to cash applications including ecommerce, subscription billing with AWS cloud experience..

Proven experience in developing enterprise and solution level architectural designs.

Proven experience in overseeing the integrating and building cross-functional applications between disparate business units and systems.

Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data mapping.

Extensive experience with core software applications, like ecommerce, CRM, subscription billing.

Technically fluent in programming languages, such as Python, Java, NodeJs

Designing, building, or supporting high performance distributed systems including writing restful apis

Working on and/or a demonstrable understanding of messaging/queuing systems or stream processing systems (Apache Kafka)

Deep understanding and experience with topics related to platform scale, security, availability, deployment and operations

Experience with database and query performance tuning including NoSQL database

Strong background in risk management methodologies as they relate to application integration and software development.

Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, agile or safe methodologies will be a plus.

Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies including CI/CD pipeline.
