We are looking for that special person who has that rare combination of being cool under pressure, has a long term career in mind, can be very discretionary and, since we are the state, has good political savvy. You will be working in an awesome office environment as you help ensure that the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) gives World Class service to our population.

Some of What Will Make Your Days Fly By;

  • You’ll have authority to act for the Deputy Assistant Secretary on administrative matters
  • Act as DDA’s Legislative Bill Analysis Coordinator
  • Interpret and apply administrative policies to the work unit
  • Direct assignments from the Deputy Assistant Secretary to DDA staff
  • Primary contact for employee background checks
  • Manage/oversee submission of all WMS position activities
  • Conduct special projects
  • Prepare final packets for committee use
  • Problem solve situations as needed

Who We Want in This Seat;

  • One year as an Administrative Assistant 4 OR two years as an Administrative Assistant 3 OR a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration or closely allied field and three years of administrative or supervisory experience
  • Familiarity with DDA programs and services
  • Knowledge of federal and state/local government functions
  • Knowledge of data collection and analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Able to be flexible, adapt to change and respect differences
  • Advanced Microsoft Suite skills.
