This position is responsible for providing, organizing and coordinating technical support regarding process technology issues during all phases of newly initiated projects, as well as for existing production processes. In coordination with the manager, incumbent has to make decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative. Special attention is required to identity and coordinate the support of various departments. The incumbent is also constantly challenged to identify weak points in technical processes and in creating technical solutions and improvements for these weak points.

Related Six Sigma work experience

Provides and implements technical assistance and responsibility during investment projects to ensure state of the art new production processes to save investment cost and production costs and assure necessary quality targets and safety demands.

Provides and maintains technical assistance to defined production processes (e.g. increase of a plant?s availability, reduction of investment and production costs, debottlenecking, quality improvement, etc.)

Finds and recommends concepts for expansions, targeting cost reduction, quality increase, production availability, etc.

Approves basic process documentation (PFDs, P&IDs, Equipment Specifications) prepared by process team members and approves process related documentation prepared by other engineering disciplines on capital projects and/or service requests.

Creates and defines strategies for future development in cooperation with production, research and development, applied technology and the Manager Process Analysis / Manager Process Design. In addition, initiates projects, defines the scope for these projects, as well as set time schedules and cost estimates.

Six Sigma experience

The incumbent must have the ability to work independently while effectively communicating results of his activities to the Manager Process Analysis / Manager of Process Design.

The incumbent should have proven human relation skills with emphasis on verbal and written communication.
