Staff Accountant/Financial Analyst

Job Description:
Responsibilities include:
Assist the team in preparing broker dealer semi-annual and year-end financial statements and related footnote disclosures.

Provide the Bank of America SEC reporting team 10Q and 10K disclosures relating to the broker dealer.

Prepare inter-company reconciliations on a monthly basis between MLPFS and other companies and coordinate with business units to clear the breaks.

Variance analysis of certain P&L and Balance Sheet line items for senior management reporting and for regulatory reporting. This will involve interacting with different product controllers and finance business units.

Coordinate and review the monthly Subsidiary Governance requirements to ensure we are in compliance.

Work closely with the regulatory, tax, finance, and operations departments.

Various ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance

Must have a foundation/understanding of GAAP principles

Advanced experience/skills with Excel and complex spreadsheets

Candidate must be able to work both independently and as team member

Strong communication and presentation skills

Strong problem solving and analytical abilities (Excel/Essbase)

Control focused, analytical, team oriented

Desired Skills

CPA/CPA candidate preferred

1-3 years experience

Experience with Oracle/Essbase/SAP

Public Accounting experience preferred

Shift: 1st shift (United States of America)
