Senior Software Developer – Agile, Small Team, Growth Potential

This Senior Software Developer opening is a full-time position on our Agile-based software development team. We need someone who can write high quality code while having growth potential as a future leader on our team. We are in search of a full-stack developer with 4-10 years of experience in software development. We are migrating our current application away from Classic ASP.

Essential Functions / Primary Responsibilities and Duties

• Develop customer-facing web applications using industry leading technologies.
• Daily participation in stand-up meetings. Participate in other Agile meetings, including Sprint demos, Sprint planning, and Sprint retrospectives.
• Participate in (and occasionally lead) software development projects, including design, development, requirements review, managing scope, and managing personal deadlines.
• Help maintain our existing Classic ASP platform until it can be retired.
• Commute to and work in an office environment.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• BS Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• 4 or more years’ overall software development experience.
• 2 or more years’ experience developing web applications.
• 2 or more years’ experience with relational DBs, including SQL and database design.
• 2 or more years’ experience with HTML5, HTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, and server side frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies.
• Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Self-directed, detail oriented, creative problem solver.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

• Experience with one or more of the following tools: React, Bootstrap, Angular, jQuery, JSON, SQL Server, Classic ASP, MySQL, Entity Framework, Git, ASP.Net, C#, NodeJS.
