Senior Java Developer

Participate in the design, development, deployment and documentation of large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications using Java, Python, SQL, Git, and Gerrit. Translate functional requirements into robust, scalable, maintainable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture. Participate in the full development cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation, and testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance. Produce comprehensive, usable software documentation. Evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing software products and tools. Mentor junior engineers and train developers in the use of tools and best practices. The preference for position placement would be in the Boulder, Colorado office.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requirements: 5-10 years experience in Java, and Bash/Python 3-5 years experience using git Familiar with the Linux command line environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) systems
• Experience developing open source software in the open source community
• Experience with Java web applications
• Experience supporting git
• Experience developing/supporting Gerrit
• Experience developing with Google Web Toolkit (GWT)
• Experience developing with Guice
• Experience working in a Linux/Unix server environment
• Experience with CSS Experience with UI Design

Education:

Required: Bachelor’s, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering Preferred: Master’s, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
