Function Specific Activities:
This position is a key role on the CAT Team providing commercial finance leadership to the East Zone and other client groups. The position supports the advancement of the Freestyle platform and drives value creation during the customer negotiation process on all product categories.

For Coca-Cola Freestyle, the role delivers value by engaging with our Selling Organization and Customers to build and deliver a compelling selling story comparing the financial elements and performance of our legacy platform with Coca-Cola Freestyle. In addition to direct Sales and Customer interaction, the position plays a significant role in capabilities development for our Sales and Finance Organizations; supports continuous process improvement and operating effectiveness initiatives for elements impacting Coca-Cola Freestyle; and leads/collaborates on the development of stewardship and selling tools.

For Customer negotiations, this role is responsible for driving value creation within the CCNA customer negotiation process in order to ensure strategic growth of volume and economic profit. The role will support customer and channel strategies, while managing investment levels that are aligned to segmentation of a comparable portfolio. The position acts as a consultant and primary support to NFSOP Sales Teams by leading analysis on customer deals during the negotiation process. These deals encompass multi-year, multi-product contractual programs. This position will establish and maintain collaborative business partnerships with internal clients as needed during negotiations. The role also interacts with internal leadership during monthly approval processes.

Position is an Individual Contributor Job Grade 12 based in Atlanta, GA reporting to Open Position. Tracy Viramontes / Brook Pointer are acting managers. 10% Travel required. Relocation is not available.

Primary Responsibilities

Commercial Financial Expert for Coca-Cola Freestyle: Support expansion and current placements of Freestyle through accurate and meaningful customer-specific analyses and problem solving.

Capabilities Development on elements of Freestyle and other product categories. Includes material and training development, training delivery and customized training. Also capabilities development of Finance Organization as needed.

Process Improvement / Operating Effectiveness with goal of improving “agility” and “easy to do business with” measures for Freestyle and other categories.

Create and present the economic analysis models and provide recommendations to address the financial and commercial viability of proposed programs.

Facilitate and influences value-based solutions on proposed customer programs with cross-functional partners.

Provide insight and expertise on strategic business issues and work on special project assignments, as assigned, in order to drive innovative business improvements or advance business objectives profitably

Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance Required; Master’s Degree / MBA or CPA Preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 10-12 years work experience
  • Strong background in commercial finance
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills
  • Proven success utilizing strong communication and influencing skills

Key Skills:

  • Advanced Financial Analysis – Able to translate data into insights. Able to collect customer transactional level data and interpret and analyze for pre/post analysis focusing on key business drivers. Able to translate financial results into a selling story, and then lead the story telling process with the customer. Able to manipulate large quantities of data from multiple sources in excel (using pivots, vlookups, etc). Able to translate key metrics into a customer pro forma. The role is responsible for all aspects of the Customer Profit Story, from pre-test projections and modelling, establishment of key success metrics for a test, tracking and analysis on the chosen success metrics, and ultimately reporting out test results and driving towards the agreed upon next steps.
  • Independent Thought Leadership – Comfortable working independently with Sales and Customers to own this segment of the business. Able to create innovative solutions to solve for unique customer situations (e.g. solving for gaps in reporting data, identify outlying factors impacting test results, utilizing multiple levers to solve for financial gaps).
  • Capabilities Development – Able to translate complex financial information into understandable pieces and train Selling Organization on the information. Responsibilities include development of training material and delivery of live/webex/conference training sessions. Responsible for training Revenue Center Finance and Customer Agreement Team on key Freestyle Financial Elements.
  • Process Improvement – Able to understand multiple systems and data sources and identify better, faster, smarter ways to mine data, produce usable results, and support defect-free execution of Freestyle financial processes.
  • Communication/Influencing/Relationship Building – Position interacts regularly with our Customers and plays a key role in the selling of Coca-Cola Freestyle and negotiating customer agreements. Precise and influential communication skills are required. Associate must be able to build trusting relationships with Customers in order to collect appropriate data for analysis. Following analysis, associate must be able to effectively communicate results and influence the discussion towards the desired outcome.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to synthesize and draw insights and implications from multiple data sets. Creative in search and application of data and new problem solving techniques. Extensive problem solving and financial modeling. Ability to structure and attack complex deals as well as develop new techniques to solve competitive offers.
  • Collaboration: Must be team player, capable of taking direction and initiative in context of complex and shifting priorities.
  • Judgment & Decision Making: Ability to apply 80/20 approaches and judgment as to when to go deep and/or stay broad. Able to maintain pace of rapid iteration and communication and multi-task across responsibilities.
