Manager, ERP Systems and Solutions

Reporting to Director of Business Applications of Landis+Gyr, the manager of business applications is responsible for planning, building, supporting, and maintaining ERP (SAP technology platform). This will be a critical leadership role working with all the business groups including but not limited to Finance, Accounting, Manufacturing, and Product Delivery. The position must partner with business community to drive strategic initiatives, deliver tactical enhancements, and provide high availability of SAP to maintain 24×7 business continuity. Manager of Business Applications must also deliver IT services to the business through his/her direct reports. Also, maintain current on all IT general controls, security, and compliance requirements.

• Partner with business stakeholders to lead ERP solutions strategy and governance committee.
• Ensure highest level of continuous delivery of services and improvements to the company through oversight of SLA and monitoring of ERP-ecosystem performance.
• Manage ERP portfolio stack with focus on continuous optimization, monitor capacity, security and compliance, and release management.
• Work closely with both IT and business stakeholders to identify business processes for improvements, and assist them in defining short and long term delivery roadmap.
• Manage 3rd party service providers and consultants to ensure highest level of delivery results.
• Partnering with PMO team, ensure that SAP project goals are accomplished according to specifications and business objectives, relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with organizational policies, security and compliance related audit controls/procedures and overall information management strategy.
• Plans and manages the evaluation of software processes Identifies, proposes, and initiates software process improvement activities within the organization.
• Recruit, retain, mentor and track the development of Business Applications team. Build up highly motivated and talented individuals to perform beyond their expectation.

Required Skills

• Solid understanding of SAP ECC 6 systems functionality including but not limited to FICO, SD, MM, PP, Logistics, PLM, and Compliances in a manufacturing environment.
• 8-10 years working with SAP ECC in a technical and/or functional capacity.
• Leadership roles in at least two successful, full lifecycle implementations preferred.
• Skilled with Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel, Word, Visio and Project.
• Experience with enterprise application development and support, IT Service Management concepts and ITIL framework.
• Understand technical layers of SAP environments, SAP Basis concepts, multi-tier landscapes, databases and business warehouse reporting environments.
• Strong project management fundamentals and capabilities; PMP certification is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in leading organizational change management initiatives related to modernization of processes and systems.
• Strong ability to take responsibility and consistently meet deadlines.

Required Experience

• 10+ years of IT business applications management and business analysis with ERP experience, preferably in large multi-location businesses.
• Must have experience in the following key business processes: FICO, SCM, Controllings, WM, SD, Logistics, MM, Production Planning & Controls, QM, GTS, and Access Control.
• Have managed both functional and technical teams across multiple locations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or similar field; broad understanding and knowledge of utilities / energy industry and best practices.
