Junior Developer

Part of the movement reshaping the eCommerce space and transforming the furniture industry, Burrow is looking for a Junior Developer to help grow our engineering team.

Burrow is looking for an energetic engineer, with development experience looking to join an ambitious startup. The Junior Developer will be responsible for the support and maintenance of various custom IT applications or corporate applications. This position will require hands-on software development experience in supporting technologies.

This position will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing various systems including our eCommerce platform, integrations with 3rd party platforms and channel partners, back-office applications, and inventory and management systems. This role is full stack with emphasis on front end.

Day to day

• Translate design requirements and mockups into fully functioning website features
• Use designs to create emails used in our ESP
• Implement A/B tests across our website
• Collaborate on finding and troubleshooting bugs
• Develop web forms and landing pages to support marketing activities

Qualifications

• Strong skills in HTML, Responsive CSS/SCSS, Javascript/jQuery
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field or relevant experience
• 2+ years’ experience in web site development
• Experience in all phases of the software development life cycle, including analysis, design, unit test, system test, deployment, production support, and documentation
• Coding using HTML, CSS and JavaScript/jQuery
• 4 years experience hand-coding HTML, CSS, Javascript
• Demonstrated experience translating a layered PSD into optimized image assets and browser-safe CSS and HTML
