Junior Developer

A leading healthcare software developer near Union Station area, is searching for a

• FOCUS: software implementation and support with some development. Must be knowledgeable in either C#, SQL Server, T-SQL and/or XML; will be providing minor enhancement to code, and providing implementation and app support

Qualifications:

• Relevant experience developing SQL scripts; C#, ASP or .NET applications
• Communication skills (must be able to communicate to management, clients, stakeholders)
• The primary part of the role is implementation and support; some new web development and back end development (20%-30% of the time)

• Title: Implementation & Support Specialist (Software Developer and Support)

PURPOSE OF JOB:

• The ideal candidate will be involved with the entire implementation life cycle including: planning, discovery, design, configuration and deployment, as well as project and client management responsibilities.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage all aspects of the implementation process which includes consultation with the client, requirements gathering and definition, solution design, configuration, unit and integration testing and deployment.
• Apply functional and technical expertise to execute the implementation plan.
• Collaborate with the project team and client team to ensure the successful delivery of the system.
• Develop SQL scripts (DDL and DML), C# code, ASP.NET applications.
• Manage all aspects of select product enhancements from requirements gathering, solution design through development, testing and deployment.
• Provide technical support to ongoing client requests for system configuration refinement.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• SQL Server, T-SQL C#, or XML

BONUS SKILLS:

• HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, JQuery, Interfaceware Iguana, Lua, HL7, ASP.NET, Web Services

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

• US Citizenship or Green Card Holder Status Required.
• Local Candidates in Chicago area only.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other relevant field of study.
• Candidates with appropriate work experience will also be considered.
• Relevant experience with application development and technical support
• Understanding of programming concepts such as structured code, object-oriented and multi-tiered development experience, design patterns, and N-Tier architecture.
