Analysts will prepare and deliver portfolio analyses to Portfolio Strategists and Financial Advisors, identifying actionable ideas to align with GWIM CIO guidance. Analysts, working with Portfolio Strategists, will develop and implement tools and processes to proactively engage with Advisors to analyze client portfolios and promote adoption of GWIM CIO asset allocation guidance in the context of goals-based investing and drive CIO Portfolio adoption through Advisor consultations, portfolio reviews and proposals.


Responsibilities
:

  • Provide advice, guidance and actionable ideas that are informed by our proprietary research and revolves around portfolio construction, investment/manager selection, asset allocation and best practices for integrating thought leadership into Financial Advisors investment discipline and portfolio construction process.
  • The Portfolio Analyst will work with Portfolio Strategists, based locally in their respective territories, to support the adoption of investment strategy thought leadership, delivered by the Chief Investment Office.
  • Over time, Analysts will be responsible for maintaining and innovating new analytical models and processes to enhance the capabilities and impact of the Investment Strategist Process.
  • The Portfolio Analysts are expected to generate portfolio analyses reports, interpret and communicate results to Strategists and Financial Advisors.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in the financial services industry
  • 4 year degree in finance, economics or a related field
  • Currently enrolled or completed Graduate level degree is preferred
  • CFA designation holder or candidate in the CFA program is preferred
  • Experience in portfolio construction and analysis software (MorningStar Direct, Factset, ect..) is preferred
  • Knowledge of modeling techniques, such as mean-variance optimization, performance and risk attribution
  • Knowledge of professionally managed investment products and/or wealth management business preferred
  • Strong communication, interaction and presentation skills required
  • Be flexible and adaptable
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude and high energy are a must
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment while achieving individual goals
