HR Benefits Analyst

As an HR Benefits Analyst at Micron Technology Inc., you will be responsible for providing analytical and administrative support to Benefits programs while overseeing HR Customer Service Center compliance for all Benefits processes. In this role, you will monitor Customer Service Center activity for performance accuracy, identify process improvements, and implement regulatory changes. You can expect to be the primary administrator to ensure compliance for HIPAA privacy and security rules. Additional responsibilities include maintaining Benefits communication through regular content reviews and updates, and obtaining team member data for governmental and corporate Benefits reporting.


Responsibilities and Tasks

Oversee HR Compliance-related Tasks for Benefits (such as COBRA, FMLA, ERISA, HIPAA, etc.)

  • Ensure compliance of HR Customer Service Center (HRCSC) Benefit processes
  • Implement regulatory changes
  • Train representatives on regulatory changes
  • Consult and advise HRCSC representatives on Benefits processes
  • Facilitate annual Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) review and update process
  • Conduct Benefits compliance audits
  • Monitor for process improvements and provide recommendations to SO team
  • Reconcile vendor billings with Micron enrollment based on business management software reporting
  • Participate on Appeals Committee

Support Benefits Communications Updates

  • Provide annual Benefit content review on HROnline
  • Coordinate with internal resources for changes to HROnline and MicronHealth.com
  • Ensure Annual Enrollment changes are implemented by the HR Service Center and reflected in SOPs
  • Review and edit Annual Enrollment communication and Benefits handbook
  • Review and provide content for the HRCSC knowledge base

Ensure HIPAA Process Administration and Governance

  • Develop and maintain training
  • Chair and facilitate regular Compliance team meetings
  • Monitor and evaluate regulatory changes and events in conjunction with legal expertise and guidance
  • Maintain privacy notices

Perform Benefits Data Collection and Reporting

  • Maintain Medicare Part D notification and reporting compliance
  • Gather vendor payment data for Corporate reports (metrics, annual reports, SOX controls)
  • Compile necessary data for actuarial consultant to prepare annual IBNR and reports
  • Facilitate annual IRS and DOL reporting for Health and Welfare benefits plans

Provide Benefit Program Support

  • Monitor and maintain SOX controls
  • Maintain Wrap Plan documents
  • Conduct, analyze, and report on annual Benefit surveys
  • Maintain vendor relationships and participate in ongoing meetings
  • Engage in Business Management software upgrades / release testing
  • Generate ideas for metrics development
  • Participate in the Benefits annual plan design review and enrollment processes


Education

Required

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience
  • Human Relations
  • Human Resource Management
  • Related field of study


Experience

Required

  • 3 years of experience in any of the following:
  • Benefits
