Our team of experienced Ruby on Rails Developers work closely with multiple teams and program managers to write and maintain complex code bases as well as process large amounts of data using machine learning algorithms for our popular informational sites. Principal responsibilities:

Maintain and build widgets for a custom in-house CMS that is used by our websites.
Work closely with managers to design and write performant code that delivers a seamless end-to-end user experience.
Integrate large and complex data sets from multiple sources into a single unified system through API’s.
Scale large datasets across multiple websites using a combination of relational and non-relational databases and search engines.
Participate in brainstorming sessions to solve some of our more difficult problems.
Produce quality work in accordance with team and client specifications.

Title: Full Stack Junior Web Developer

Compensation/Salary: $70,000-$80,000 DOE

Requirements

B.S. in Computer Science or relevant experience.
Recent grad or 1 year of experience.
Experience in using a language like Java, Ruby, Python, etc. for web projects. Understanding of web frameworks (Rails) is a plus.
Clear understanding of HTTP and RESTful web standards.
Understanding of common pitfalls with designing and scaling database-driven applications.
Linux/Unix experience.
Dynamic learner that isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty.
Strong problem solving skills.
Self-driven, ability to work independently.
Willingness to learn and solve challenging problems.
