Financial Analyst – Marketing Analysis

The Financial Analyst – Marketing Analysis is responsible for conducting financial analysis of marketing strategies.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Partner with Marketing and Culinary teams and cross-functional partners to implement business-building initiatives, including analyzing guest counts, sales, margin and profitability impacts
• Evaluate tests of menu, beverage, media, promotions, menu items and pricing, including impacts to guest counts, sales, margins, menu mix, waste, labor productivity and earnings
• Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting for various Marketing, Culinary and Operations initiatives
• Maintain active communications with key business partners and present findings
• Perform financial oversight for assigned area(s) – evaluate sales and profitability of marketing and culinary initiatives, national and local marketing programs
• Perform routine to highly complex financial analysis
• Leverage systems and utilize data analysis to determine the financial impact of proposed business initiatives

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Experience in an analytical role exemplifying initiative, accuracy, and influence
• Excellent analytical skills, strong initiative and flexibility in analyzing results
• Very strong knowledge of Excel. Proven spreadsheet and data retrieval skills
• Demonstrates the capability to build complex financial forecasting models
• Strong project management skills

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

• Strong communicator with excellent oral, written and presentation skills
• Ability to meet aggressive deadlines with accurate and concise analyses
• Ability to prioritize effectively to move multiple concurrent projects to completion
• Self-starter willing to promote change when necessary

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• MBA preferred
• Knowledge of Oracle, Hyperion, and Micro Strategy a plus
