Financial Analyst

JOB SUMMARY
Performs analysis supporting the business development life cycle including modeling, forecasting, financial results reporting and variance analysis, detailed profitability analysis and ad hoc financial reporting. Designs financial models in consideration of client requirements and budget, cost estimates and competitor pricing strategies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and all other bid requests from existing and new clients
• Identify and develop questions to support sales and client solutions in developing pricing solutions
• Prepare client pricing models and pricing analysis scenarios
• Summarize and communicate pricing proposals
• Complete all client provided templates and documents required to submit approved pricing
• Analyze projected revenue and profitability from financial model versus actual
• Track costs through client cost databases; incorporate trends into pricing model
• Provide analysis of client cost structure

OTHER RELATED DUTIES

• Understand and comply with all policies, procedures and regulations related to job duties
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, with major course work in finance, business, accounting, or other related field
• Considerable experience (5+ years) in financial analysis, planning, and/or forecasting
• Hyperion experience preferred
• Knowledge of Oracle accounting system is preferred

Licenses and/or Certifications:

• MBA/CPA preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong analytical ability
• Demonstrated knowledge of key financial concepts
• Demonstrated knowledge of financial forecasting, analysis, and planning
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
• Ability to utilize abstract concepts
• Strong knowledge and ability to use MS Office (Excel)
