Facility Operations Manager

Our Facility Maintenance team is responsible for: keeping our clubs clean, well maintained and safe; making sure all exercise equipment is working properly; and providing a positive experience for our members and guests. No two days will be the same, and you’ll likely experience a variety of slightly different challenges each day in a high-energy, health club environment. A positive attitude is a plus.

Duties & Responsibilities

Member Experience

Ensures staff continually keeps locker rooms, fitness floors and common areas clean, tidy and welcoming at all times
Ensures towels and amenities are properly maintained and present
Ensures staff is courteous to members and respectful of their privacy in the locker rooms
Works alongside staff to complete tasks thru leading by example to improve members experience
Connects with all members to ensure that they are enjoying their experience
Proactively interacts with members to gather feedback
Responds to member feedback with urgency and provides follow up communication with solutions
Routinely and repetitively lift more than 20 pounds

Sales & Promotion

Promotes Life Time programs, products, and services
Ensures Operations staff responds to member questions using extensive knowledge of Life Time products, services, policies, and procedures

Financial & Budgetary

Responsible for maintaining the monthly, quarterly and annual department budget
Submits monthly financial reports to the General Manager
Completes operations payroll and ensures labor costs fall within budgetary guidelines

Managerial & Supervisory

Oversees maintenance and repair projects of the club
Maintains communication with all departments to monitor cleanliness and equipment condition
Responsible for training staff through orientation, direction, and feedback
Makes hiring, promotion, disciplinary, and termination recommendations to the General Manager
Recruits and interviews for Operations department
Coach, manage and schedule up to 40 team members
Utilizes incident reporting system to record emergencies and communicates with General Manager and Area Director accidents and injuries to supervisor as soon as possible
