Facility Operations Manager

Our Facility Maintenance team is responsible for: keeping our clubs clean, well maintained and safe; making sure all exercise equipment is working properly; and providing a positive experience for our members and guests. No two days will be the same, and you’ll likely experience a variety of slightly different challenges each day in a high-energy, health club environment. A positive attitude is a plus.

Duties & Responsibilities

Member Experience
  • Ensures staff continually keeps locker rooms, fitness floors and common areas clean, tidy and welcoming at all times
  • Ensures towels and amenities are properly maintained and present
  • Ensures staff is courteous to members and respectful of their privacy in the locker rooms
  • Works alongside staff to complete tasks thru leading by example to improve members experience
  • Connects with all members to ensure that they are enjoying their experience
  • Proactively interacts with members to gather feedback
  • Responds to member feedback with urgency and provides follow up communication with solutions
  • Routinely and repetitively lift more than 20 pounds

Sales & Promotion
  • Promotes Life Time programs, products, and services
  • Ensures Operations staff responds to member questions using extensive knowledge of Life Time products, services, policies, and procedures


Financial & Budgetary
  • Responsible for maintaining the monthly, quarterly and annual department budget
  • Submits monthly financial reports to the General Manager
  • Completes operations payroll and ensures labor costs fall within budgetary guidelines

Managerial & Supervisory
  • Oversees maintenance and repair projects of the club
  • Maintains communication with all departments to monitor cleanliness and equipment condition
  • Responsible for training staff through orientation, direction, and feedback
  • Makes hiring, promotion, disciplinary, and termination recommendations to the General Manager
  • Recruits and interviews for Operations department
  • Coach, manage and schedule up to 40 team members
  • Utilizes incident reporting system to record emergencies and communicates with General Manager and Area Director accidents and injuries to supervisor as soon as possible
Qualifications


Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • College degree in business, hospitality, or related field preferred
  • One-year Management experience
  • Building operations experience
  • Health and Fitness operations experience preferred

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations
  • CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire
  • Aquatic Facilities Operator Certification (AFO)
  • Certified Pool Operator license (CPO) within 6 months of hire
