Entry Level Software Engineer

Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience is required. Agile experience preferred.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position:
General Dynamics Mission Systems is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team in sunny Orlando, FL. In this role, s/he will:

• Develop software and systems products in a UNIX, Linux and/or Windows-based workstation environment.
• Comprehend object-oriented software development and C/C++/Java software language proficiency.
• Create a design of systems utilizing real-time, distributed microprocessor or DSP-based processing.
• Learn the systems in order to update information.
• Enter data into various systems.
• Research and document various data and processes.
• Learn the use and application of required tools.

Follow all safety procedures outlined by the Company.

PREFERRED DEGREE TYPES AND EXPERIENCE:

Coursework in software programming languages such as C/C++ /Java. Experience with UNIX, Linux, and/or Windows and/or real time OS is desired. Strong interpersonal communication skills, problem solving skills as well as the ability to work in a small team environment.
