Core Financial Systems Analyst

This position will augment the Oracle EBS support team within Corporate Functions Delivery and Ops. This role will be designed to target the support functions related to 12.1.3 and ensure they align to EIS operational guidelines. There could also be some support to other Corporate Functions applications as assigned. Compliance, CD, application health, and project work would be included.

  • 20% BAU – Provide support to the day-to-day operations of the Oracle E-Business 12.1.3 suite including daily processing, monthly processing and close, and end-user queries. Will be required to work within EIS to troubleshoot incidents and track those in IT Portal as Incident or Problem tickets. Work with end-users and PSO to understand the root cause of any incidents and document as required. This may also include the following:
    • Support of DR testing
    • Support to other applications (i.e. A/PEX FirstStrike, Ariba)
    • End-User access issues
    • Guidance to ESR or TSC for access/configuration issues
    • Discoverer – Reporting Design, Distribution & Support
  • 40% CD/Change Management – Support new, in-flight and implementation change work. This includes requirements gathering, documentation and approval. Test planning, documentation and execution. Finally, provide go-live support during off-peak hours to implement changes, execute configuration updates and provide live change verification and confirmation of success.
  • 10% Oracle Support – Work directly with Oracle Support by submitting Service Requests while running various diagnostic tools that provide supporting documentation to resolve errors and bugs. Coordinate action plans for applying patches, generic data fixes and facilitate testing these solutions in lower environments. Plan, document and verify migration of solutions to production.
  • 10% Audit/Compliance – This function would be performed under the direction of someone on the current team and work may consist of elements of the described activities.
  • Support scheduled and ad-hoc requests from internal or external auditors. Understand the key aspects of the requests that are made and determine if there are concerns on the behalf of Finance which should be addressed or disclosed. This may include the following:
    • Providing data to a requestor and how it must be handled
    • Application attestation reviews
    • Providing supporting evidence to ESR for baseline security standards
    • Providing sampling data to support SOX controls
    • Support normal SOX control activities or review those performed by other members of the team
    • Submit change orders to add/remove users in mainframe or DBMS environments
  • 10% Project Support – Provide subject matter expertise while demonstrating leadership and planning skills during large, long-term projects for upgrades, enhancements, implementations or module expansions.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in and 5 years of experience as a developer or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement best practices. Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function.
  • Ability to plan and manage projects.
  • Ability to solve complex problems by applying best practices.
  • Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates.
  • Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information.


Preferred Requirements
:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Banking or financial services experience.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with two or more of the following: Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, ETL tools, ERP systems, RAD/JAD, Unix, Distributed (e.g. JEE, .Net, Middleware, WebServices), Mainframe (COBOL) , Specialties (e.g. Pega, FileNet, Cognos, IVR, WebSphere), Database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2.
