Job Description:
Applies technical knowledge in determining end to end design requirements for large projects involving line of business, software/hardware developers and vendors. Work closely with business partners to define strategies for technical solutions, determine requirements, and develop functional designs based on the analysis of line of business needs, objectives and existing systems infrastructure. Drives and participates in design, development and implementation of large and complex enterprise wide applications, often using new technologies. Work closely with developers and testers to ensure requirements and functional designs are translated accurately into working technical designs and that test plans and scripts serve customer needs. May manage projects including responsibility for a project and project budget. Works under minimal supervision on enterprise wide projects requiring creative solutions. IT degree preferred or substantially equivalent experience. Typically requires a minimum of 5-7 years of applicable experience.

Employee will be a member of the Monitoring, Controls and Interchange (MCI) team within the Card/Deposit Product Service Delivery organization. The MCI team is responsible for supporting ~170 projects that use SAS scripts on a Linux platform and scheduled in Autosys. MCI is responsible for Interchange process management file creation which results in revenue of $3 billion annually, Regulation B reporting for Consumer Credit Card and Control and Monitoring work for Product Service Delivery, including Card and Deposits. Responsibilities of this position include working closely with business partners to define strategies for project and reporting solutions, assist in determining requirements and developing functional designs based on analysis of the business objectives. Prepare and maintain documentation to ensure requirements are translated accurately into working technical designs and that test plans and scripts serve customer needs

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years SAS & SQL experience
  • 3+ years Relational Database experience such as Teradata and/or DB2
  • 3+ years Linux/Unix scripting experience
  • 3+ years Microsoft Office products experience
  • 3+ years ability to analyze data to drive differentiated performance
  • 3+ years developing applications and manipulating data

Desired Skills :

  • Knowledge of Bank of America Card and Deposit system and DB2 data warehouse
  • Knowledge of Schedulers such as AutoSys, IBM MAESTRO/Tivoli Workload Scheduler
  • Knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, & tools
  • Strong organization skills
  • Excellent oral and written communications
