Business Support Manager

Job Description:

The Quantitative Finance team within SALM is seeking a Business Manager for Model Support. QF uses quantitative techniques extensively, and is staffed by mathematicians, statisticians, enconomists, traders and programmers that apply quantitative methods to management of Bank of America’s investment portfolio. QF designs and implements a suite of complex valuation tools and models. These models drive the valuation of mortgage servicing, mortgage-backed securities and whole loan portfolios. Additionally, QF provides analytics for a wide range of processes, including: trading decisions, primary mortgage pricing and rate setting, credit loss forecasting, business strategy and ad hoc financial decisions at the highest level of the Bank.

The candidate will be responsible for:

• Communicating and interacting with Model Risk Management, internal and external audit and regulatory agencies
• Balancing business strategy with appropriate risk management controls
• Developing, implementing and maintaining QF policies and procedures
• Coordinating with QF associates to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Monitoring and maintaining documentation

Enterprise Role Overview

Manages administrative functions within Corporate Investments Group. Functions managed may include: financial control/budgeting and consolidation, personnel processes, audit/compliance, coordination of certain projects, service quality, or process improvement. Consults with senior management in evaluating current methods and developing strategies to implement changes and improvements. Requires a thorough knowledge of Corporate Investments Group’s functional area or products.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5-7 years experience working in a Business Support Role
• Experience authoring comprehensive policies and procedures
• 3 + years of project management experience
• Experience serving as point of contact to MRM, audit and regulatory agencies
• Experience creating a structure to maintain documentation and ensure it is current
• Experience remediating issues and provide responses
• Extreme attention to detail
• Strong business partnering, influencing, communication and organization skills

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Diamond
• Knowledge of Quantitative modeling

This role can be filled as a Business Support Manager or a Financial Analyst based on skills and experience.
