Back-end Software Engineer, Deep Learning Institute (DLI)

NVIDIA is searching for a world-class software engineer to join our team of platform engineers creating a next-generation online training system for developers, data scientists and researchers. In this role you will work with experienced software developers to build a platform to deliver a high-quality hands-on learning experience world wide, focused in the area of deep learning.

What you’ll be doing:

As an integral member of the Deep Learning Institute Platform team, you will be responsible for:

• Developing a cloud-based learning management system (LMS) platform for delivering GPU-accelerated deep learning and accelerated computing training content

• Developing back-end services to support interactive training sessions at scale

• Creating dashboards and tools to manage trainings across a worldwide organization

• Integrating the LMS with other existing systems

What we need to see:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering, or equivalent experience

• Programming experience with Python, Ruby, Go, C++, or other languages

• Experience developing RESTful asynchronous services such as task queueing, resource pooling, and schedulers.

• Experience with web frameworks such as Django (Open edX) or RoR

• DevOps experience with cloud Linux systems including cluster management, monitoring tools, and containers

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Experience with one or more of the following: Docker, TensorFlow, AWS, Go, Open edX, Linux, celery/rabbitmq/message broker, Virtualization, Cloud Orchestration
