Accounting Operations Associate Analyst

• Deliver special projects identified by Management related to business risks, control failures, and process/system changes
• Participate on cross-functional special project teams as the process and control subject matter expert
• Understand and review financial and operational business processes. Assist in the design and implementation of processes that strengthen controls, improve efficiency, and eliminate redundant tasks/efforts or deficiencies
• Help maintain a strong control environment by acting as a liaison to field locations, SOX team, and other groups
• Manage the field self-assessment processes and report results to leadership
• Maintain alignment between Corporate and PepsiCo Chicago accounting policies and provide PepsiCo Chicago supplemental guidance as necessary
• Provide support/assistance to other groups within the Controller’s areas as needed
• Assist external auditors and PepsiCo Corporate Audit in examination and reviews

Qualifications/Requirements

• BS Degree in Accounting; Master of Accounting or CPA preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in financial accounting with at least 1 year in public accounting ("Big Four" experience preferred.)
• High integrity, keen analytical skills, and technical accounting skills (GAAP)
• Ability to cut through details to summarize information, develop ideas and solve problems
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
• Strong communication skills – excellent writing and effective and persuasive verbal skills
• Ability to serve on cross functional teams and work with people at all levels of the organization
• Manufacturing experience beneficial
• Must be willing and able to travel up to 20% of the time
