Accounting Assistant Analyst

The Accounting Assistant Analyst will be responsible for accounting for PBC field and/or trade spend teams. This position will support 8 Regions across the U.S. All transactions must be executed and accounted for as specified under PepsiCo Financial Policies. The accounting team answers inquiries from field finance and/or customer/sales management. They review and record accruals in the PBC financial statements and execute analyses of the PBC financial accounts. Additionally, they assist in providing analytics and information to support the PBC field and/or trade spend teams.

Accountabilities:

Process Journal Entries

Perform Balance Sheet account reconciliations

Field Questions & Issues from Regions

Input data into financial sub-systems (Oracle GL, Trade Management system)

Participate in Pre/Post Close Fin/KAM calls

Prepare Periodic scorecards

Approve manual Payments

Participate in GCS and Sox protocol

Participate in GCS & KPMG Requests

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree – Accounting

1+ years of business experience

Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills

Ability to multi-task

Strong team player

Strong knowledge of processes and internal controls

Software Skills: Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills

Certified Public Accountant or equivalent, a plus

Experience with Trade Promotion applications, a plus

Experience implementing internal controls in a new or significantly changing environment
